Kitten de Ville, Miss Exotic World 2002 and the Queen of the Quake is one of the originators of the modern Burlesque movement. In this class Kitten will share with you her 20+ years of Burlesque experience on how to showcase your body by adding subtle movements and facial expressions to heighten the tease and sensuality of your performance.

Please bring a pair of heels that you can dance in and wear clothing that you can move freely in and see your body movements.

In this class we'll explore the strip-tease movements and style of the golden era of burlesque. Starting with an overview of our legendary burlesque superstars, we'll pinpoint the iconic walks, bumps, turns, and many more essential elements that kept fans lined around the block. We'll break these vintage moves down step-by-step and learn ways to incorporate them into your own acts while making them your own. Finally, we'll put it all together with a choreographed combination. Taught by touring burlesque artists and aficionados of classic burlesque and its history, Jolie Goodnight and Ruby Joule. Open to all; bring a pair of heels to class if you wish.

About The Instructors:

Kitten de Ville Known as "The Embodiment of Burlesque", Kitten de Ville performs across the United States and Europe -where she headlines with a variety of top musicians and performers from around the globe . Kitten is credited as one of the originators of the New Burlesque movement . Starting her career in 1994 with The Los Angeles based troupe The Velvet Hammer whose sold out shows were responsable for reviving the Art of Burlesque .

Kitten de Ville is an award-winning international burlesque superstar. Some of the titles that Kitten has won are Miss Exotic World 2002 and Queen of the Quake. This multi-talented kitten also produces a successful Rock & Roll StripShow and runs her own school of burlesque in her home town in southern California.

Ruby Joule is an international burlesque sensation and multi-award winner at the esteemed Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. Hailing from Austin, Texas, USA, she is also the co-founder of The Jigglewatts Burlesque Revue and has been producing and performing burlesque across the globe since 2006 with appearances including London, Paris, Rome, Ibiza, New York and Los Angeles among others. She is known for combining dazzling elegance and grace with sizzling sensuality, and was recently made an official Playboy Bunny. Having studied the art of the tease with burlesque Legends of the golden era, she is also sought out as a mentor in her field. As a trained actress, her IMBD credits have seen her name in ABC, NBC and Netflix titles. She is known as “The Gem You’d Love to Polish."

Jolie Goodnight is a burlesque singer/songwriter, producer and multi-award winner at the Texas Burlesque Festival and other prestigious events. Hailing from Austin, Texas, she has been producing and performing burlesque across the globe for 15 years, with city appearances including London, New York, LA and Belfast.

She is an accomplished recording artist having released two albums and EPs. Across radio, print and TV, Jolie has attracted many press interviews building her reputation for over a decade and is a sought after artist featuring at major shows including her own co-production, the Jigglewatts Burlesque Revue. A dynamic presence she has modelled for brands such as Secrets in Lace, Lucky Lou and Vivienne of Holloway.
