The Paris Burlesque Festival | 2010 Festival Presentation
Strong from the success of its debut, the second annual Paris Burlesque Festival will once
again take place in the bosom of La Bellevilloise (Paris’ 20th arrondissement) from the 6th to
the 10th of October, 2010. This year, the festival takes the universe of the circus and carnivals
as its reference, a symbolic meeting between the extraordinary and the public spectacle. The
festival pays tribute to the places where burlesque developed (mostly in the United States) until
it returned to the cabarets.
Program:
A grand French and international burlesque revue; intimate, amusing, sexy and engaging
performances; ‘burlesque’ and ‘new burlesque’ shows; an exhibition fitting the 2010 festival’s
burlesque and the circus theme; an open ‘round table’; burlesque conferences; an open stage
for emerging talent and a burlesque vintage market/brunch to smoothly close the festivities
on the final Sunday.
